Anker Launches Smart Display Charger and Foldable Qi2 Wireless Charging Station at MWC 2026

Anker has launched two new charging products that were first shown at CES 2026: the Anker Nano Charger (45W, Smart Display, 180 Foldable) and the Anker Prime Wireless Charging Station (3-in-1, MagGo, AirCool, Foldable). Both products are designed around the Apple ecosystem, with the Nano Charger targeting iPhone users who want more visibility into their charging, and the Prime Wireless Charging Station offering a compact multi-device solution for those with an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods.

Anker Nano Charger (45W, Smart Display, 180 Foldable)

The Anker Nano Charger is a 45W USB-C wall charger that features a built-in smart display, making it the first charger of its kind to show real-time charging information directly on the unit itself. The display provides live readouts of charging power, temperature, and battery status, along with interactive visual feedback. Anker claims the charger can recognise supported iPhone and iPad models automatically and adjust its power delivery accordingly.

Compatible devices include the iPhone 17, 16, and 15 series, as well as select iPad Pro models including the 11-inch iPad Pro (2020 to 2024), the 12.9-inch iPad Pro (2020 to 2022), and the 13-inch iPad Pro (2024). It is worth noting that the iPhone 17 series has a maximum input of 40W, so while the charger is rated at 45W, the actual charging speed will be limited by the device itself. Anker states the charger can take an iPhone 17 from zero to 50 per cent in roughly 20 minutes.

Care mode and temperature management

One of the headline features is a TUV-certified Care Mode, which Anker says is designed for overnight or extended charging sessions. When activated, the charger operates at a temperature approximately 20 degrees Celsius below international safety standards, while keeping the phone battery around 5 degrees Celsius cooler than comparable 45W chargers. The idea is to reduce heat exposure during charging, which over time can contribute to battery degradation. This is based on Anker’s own lab testing, measuring maximum internal phone battery temperature during a full 0 to 100 per cent charge at an ambient temperature of 25 degrees Celsius.

The charger uses a three-stage smart charging system that adjusts power output in real time based on the connected device’s needs and battery level. It supports Power Delivery 3.0, PPS, and uses GaN (gallium nitride) technology for improved efficiency in a smaller form factor.

Compact design with dual foldable prongs

Anker has focused heavily on portability with this charger. The company claims it is approximately 47 per cent smaller and 36 per cent lighter than its original 30W charger, despite delivering 50 per cent more power. The dual foldable prongs offer both 90-degree and 180-degree adjustment, which allows the charger to sit flush against wall outlets, fit behind furniture, or tuck into desk plugs without blocking adjacent sockets. The 180-degree fold also means the display can be positioned to face the user regardless of the outlet orientation.

The smart display itself offers over 20 different interface screens, covering charging modes, power flow, temperature readouts, and animated visual feedback. Users can tap once to view charging status, double-tap to switch between modes, and press for two seconds to rotate the screen orientation. The display turns off automatically after one minute of inactivity to save energy and reduce light pollution.

Colour options and pricing

The Anker Nano Charger (45W, Smart Display, 180 Foldable) is available in four colours: Anker Black, Aurora White, Misty Blue, and Cosmic Orange, though the orange option is listed as coming soon. In the United States, the charger has a recommended retail price of $39.99 (approximately £30) and is currently available from anker.com and Amazon.com. At the time of writing, UK availability and pricing for the smart display variant have not yet been confirmed, though Anker does sell the standard 45W Nano Charger (without the smart display) in the UK through its website and retailers such as Argos and Amazon.

Anker Prime Wireless Charging Station (3-in-1, MagGo, AirCool, Foldable)

The second product is the Anker Prime Wireless Charging Station, a foldable 3-in-1 wireless charger that can simultaneously charge an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods. It uses Qi2 wireless charging at up to 25W for the phone, making it one of the faster wireless charging options currently available for iPhones. It also carries MFW (Made for Watch) certification for Apple Watch compatibility.

Active cooling with AirCool technology

Heat management is a common concern with faster wireless charging speeds, and Anker has addressed this with what it calls AirCool technology. The charger integrates a fluid-dynamics-optimised miniature centrifugal fan within the body of the unit, designed to reduce heat build-up and limit thermal throttling during charging. Anker claims the system keeps phone temperatures below 37 degrees Celsius while charging, which is intended to help preserve long-term battery health.

The cooling system uses what Anker describes as “Cicada Wing” airflow channels, which are said to keep noise levels down to just 19 dB during operation. For reference, that is quieter than a whisper, so it should be suitable for bedside use without being intrusive.

Foldable design and build quality

The charging station has been designed with portability in mind. It measures approximately 9.5 x 6.0 x 3.1 cm and weighs around 230g, making it compact enough to slip into a bag or even a jacket pocket. The foldable design uses a high-precision hinge that adjusts between 0 and 60 degrees, tested to withstand over 10,000 folds according to Anker’s specifications.

When unfolded, the charging station supports Apple’s StandBy mode, effectively turning it into a bedside smart display when the iPhone is placed in landscape orientation. The raised magnetic charging surface has been designed to prevent the phone’s camera module from interfering with rotation, which is a common issue with some competing wireless chargers.

Design and finish

The Anker Prime Wireless Charging Station is available in two colours: Phantom Gray and Radiant White. Both options feature a metallic-like finish with a protective PU topcoat. Anker’s product materials describe the design as inspired by supercar aerodynamics, though in practice the unit features clean, angular lines with smooth contoured surfaces. The build quality appears to be a step up from Anker’s MagGo range, with the Prime branding indicating a more premium tier.

Pricing and availability

The Anker Prime Wireless Charging Station (3-in-1, MagGo, AirCool, Foldable) launched on 2 February 2026 in the United States with a recommended retail price of $149.99 (approximately £115). At the time of writing, European and UK availability has not been formally announced. For context, the dock stand version of the Anker Prime 3-in-1 wireless charger (which is a different, non-foldable model with a built-in smart display) is already available in the UK at £159.99, so UK pricing for the foldable variant may fall in a similar range once it arrives.

How these products compare to the competition

The 45W smart display charger sits in a relatively uncrowded niche. While there are plenty of compact GaN chargers available from brands like UGREEN, Baseus, and even Apple’s own 35W and 30W options, none currently offer a built-in display with device recognition and real-time charging feedback. The question for most buyers will be whether that added functionality justifies the price premium over a standard 45W charger, which can be had for as little as £15 to £20 from established brands.

The wireless charging station enters a more competitive space. The ESR 25W CryoBoost 3-in-1 Magnetic Charger is available for around $119.99 in the US, while Belkin and UGREEN both offer 3-in-1 alternatives at lower price points, albeit typically at 15W rather than 25W wireless charging speeds. The Anker Prime’s combination of Qi2 25W charging, active cooling, and a genuinely compact foldable form factor does set it apart, but the $149.99 asking price puts it at the higher end of the market.

Both products were first shown at CES 2026 in January and form part of Anker’s broader push into smarter, more feature-rich charging accessories. The Nano Charger is available now in the US, while the Prime Wireless Charging Station launched in early February 2026. UK buyers will need to wait for confirmed local availability and pricing for both products.
